After years of advocacy by Celiac Canada and a successful multi-year pilot, the Ontario Minister of Health has approved making the celiac blood test a permanent part of OHIP coverage. This means the test can now be ordered in primary care settings without barriers.
This is a huge win for the tens of thousands of Ontarians still awaiting a diagnosis.
